What Is Rhythmic Gymnastics?
Rhythmic Gymnastics is an Olympic sport for women that combine Dance, Ballet, Gymnastics, and apparatus handling. The hoop, ribbon, ball, clubs and rope are the apparatus used by the gymnasts.
The routine is choreographed to music and is performed individually or as a group. The sport requires a high degree of flexibility, with the ability to leap, pirouette and balance in conjunction with hand apparatus. Rhythmic Gymnastics is a very graceful elegant sport which has been included in the Olympic Games since 1984.
